How to Shop and Order from Our Store

Shopping in our store is easy as 1 – 2 – 3!  The following guides you through the entire shopping and invitation order process.  Please make sure to contact us if you have any questions.


Browse through our huge selection of invitations, announcements, favors, accessories, etc. either by collection or by product.  For the products we sell, we have links to our partnered sites through this main site, www.notjustinvitations.com.  Once you click on a link, you will be redirected to a partnered-site.

For our Birchcraft Studios collection, Carlson Craft collection, Event Tickets and Printswell collection:  You may browse through the site and order directly through the website.

For our Checkerboard collection and all other brands:  You may browse through the site to view the selection of products.  To order, come back to our main site (www.notjustinvitations.com) to Place a Custom Order.  To get accurate pricing information, you may want to Request a Quote first.

Order Samples

We want to make sure you know exactly what invitation you are ordering!  If you have seen an invitation on one of our sites, order a sample!  Samples are mailed to you through regular U.S. mail.  They will come either blank or printed with sample text like it is shown in the catalog.  You will be able to see and feel the the paper for thickness, quality, etc.

For Birchcraft Studios:  Invitation samples are sent at no charge, up to 3 samples.  Simply click on the Order Sample link located with each invitation.

For Carlson Craft:  There is a minimal charge for samples and a small shipping charge.  Simply click on the Order Sample link located with each invitation.

For Checkerboard: There is a small charge of $3.00 for each sample ordered.  To order a sample, simply send us an email at samples@notjustinvitations.com and we will send you back a confirmation email and further instructions for payment for your sample(s).

For Event Tickets:  We will send you a sample ticket invitation at no charge.  Simply send us an email at samples@notjustinvitations.com with your request and we will send you back a confirmation email.

For All Other Brands:  Please send us an email at samples@notjustinvitations.com and we will let you know if a sample is available.

Make Selection

Once you’ve made your selection of invitation or announcement, you’ve accomplished half of the battle!


Now it’s time to make decisions on the wording, ink color, fonts, etc.  We are always here to assist you along the way, offering our expertise and personal opinions.  Just contact us with your questions.

For Birchcraft Studios collection, Carlson Craft collection and Printswell collection:  Options are shown right on the order form.

For Checkerboard collection:  We have links on our Checkerboard page for you to see your options.

Fill Out Order Form

No matter which brand you are ordering, our order forms will walk you through all of the information that we need for your order.  Fill out the form as thoroughly as you can.  We will be happy to assist you will any questions you may have.  Just contact us if you are stuck!  For additional information that you would like to tell us about your order, you may fill out the Special Instructions box on all of our order forms or send us an email.  Please be assured that we will be reviewing your order before any processing is done and will contact you (usually by email) if there is incomplete information, if we have any questions or suggestions or if we need further clarification.  We will always confirm that we have received your order by sending you a confirmation email.

When ordering Checkerboard invitations (or if you have checked Contact Me for Payment for any of our other collections), we will be sending you a link to our secure payment page for you to enter your payment information before any processing is done on your order.

Approve Proofs

If you have ordered proofs with your order (for an additional charge), these will be emailed to you in a PDF file approximately 1 to 4 business days after you have placed your order.  A proof is not the actual item but a copy of the actual typesetting of your order in the font you’ve selected.  You may either make any changes to the proofs by emailing us the changes you would like to make or approve the proofs, again by emailing us with your approval.  There is no charge to make any changes to the proofs, however if you’d like to see a new proof with the changes, there may be a new proof charge.  Once you’ve approved the proofs, your order will be printed and shipped to you.

Receive Order

All of our products are processed very quickly.  Estimated processing times are shown below.  (Processing times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.  When ordering proofs, printing Hebrew or using our envelope addressing service, allow extra time for these services.)  Shipping time will add approximately 2 to 5 business days for ground shipping, depending on your location.

Birchcraft Studios collection:  3 business days

Carlson Craft collection:  2-3 business days, unless otherwise noted

Checkerboard collection:  4 business days

Event Tickets: 2 business days
